About This Module
In this module, students will build on prior understanding of probability developed in Grade 7. (See Common Core Standards 7.SP.1-7.SP.8.) Check for understanding of pre-requisite skills prior to the start of this module. Students will use unions, intersections and complements to compute and interpret theoretical and experimental probabilities of compound events. The students will explore a scenario of a sporting event randomly giving fans free tickets to an upcoming game.
